Chronic symptoms

A chronic injury is loosely defined as symptoms that have persisted for a period of six months or more. These injuries take more or less the same time as they were symptomatic to recover! Chronic injuries are complicated processes that require a multifaceted approach to obtain a successful outcome. Persistent symptoms in the sporting sector point towards training errors or equipment deficiencies that need to be identified and corrected to prevent further injury. Literature also shows the necessity of patient involvement in the treatment of chronic conditions.
